Hi, my name is Viet. I do economic research at the Dais (formerly Brookfield Institute). I graduated from the University of British Columbia and the London School of Economics, focusing on Applied Microeconomics. I research topics related to scale-ups, automation, the tech sector, and many more.
I've worked internationally, from Bolivia, to Vietnam, to Canada; from researching urbanization in Eastern Bolivia to establishing an experimental youth summer camp, consulting for a billion dollar company, to sitting on the Board of Directors for the largest student society in Canada. I also did research on the discrimination in the Economics Job Market. I love creating communities, researching Economics, and working towards bettering lives for LGBTQ+ individuals. I also worked with Equaldex, a global database on LGBTQ+ issues (the data we collected have been used by the UN , the World Economic Forum, Vox, amongst others. Let me know if you want to chat. |
